Good morning!
Fourth and fifth grade students at Barry Elementary School received an important lesson this week about navigating the internet safely, according to Chicopee students learn social media and gaming safety by Hanna Guidry and Danae Holmes of Western Mass News.
The program, led by the District Attorneyβs office, focused on social media and gaming safety, teaching students how to recognize cyberbullying, protect their privacy online, and identify misinformation.
As technology becomes a larger part of daily life for younger students, educators say programs like this help children build the skills they need to use digital platforms responsibly.
Officials say the goal is to give students the knowledge to protect themselves online while still enjoying the benefits of technology.
CYBERSECURITY
Cybersecurity is more important than ever, not just for students.
Every time you connect to public Wi-Fi at a cafΓ©, airport, or hotel, your personal data can be exposed. A VPN encrypts your internet connection so hackers, advertisers, and data trackers canβt see what you're doing online.
Thatβs why I personally recommend NordVPN. Itβs one of the fastest and most trusted VPN services, with over 6,000 servers worldwide and powerful encryption to keep your browsing private.
