Good morning!

Three new firefighters were officially sworn in to serve the Chicopee Fire Department, according to Chicopee swears-in new firefighter recruits by Ben Goodman and Ryan Trowbridge of Western Mass News.

Thursday marked an exciting day for the recruits as they graduated and took the oath to serve their community.

The ceremony represents a major milestone in their careers as they move forward in the process of becoming firefighters.

One of the recruits, Roman Tikhonchuk, said he is eager to begin serving the community.

Next week, the recruits will start training at the fire academy. Before that, they will schedule their EMT test ahead of starting the academy’s physical training program.
